German Stein Ornament

Prost! Stein is an English neologism for stoneware mugs. These popular collectibles are often accumulated as souvenirs and tell adventure stories. If you’re traveling in Germany, however, don’t ask for a stein. It simply means "stoneware" and you might get your beer served in a stone bowl!
