Pretzel Ornament

Sixth–century Italian monks gave pretzels to children as rewards for attending church. The pretzel’s twists signify arms crossed in prayer and when it has three openings, the Trinity. Pretzels are believed to bring good luck, prosperity, and spiritual wholeness.
